Star Trek actors Chris Pine and Zachary Quinto (Kirk and Spock in the newest Star Trek movie) are set to re-unite in the upcoming big screen version of "T.J. Hooker" which was announced this week.
Chris Pine is again set to play a role originally made famous by William Shatner - in this case that of LAPD cop T.J. Hooker. Meanwhile, Zachary Quinto is set to play bad guy Paul McGuire, originally played by guest star Leonard Nimoy in the T.J. Hooker episode "Vengeance is Mine." Both men are said to be "delighted" according to a source familiar with the production. The source also added that there is a possibility that William Shatner may have a cameo in the film as T.J.'s father.
UPDATE: This truly moving assessment of the whole Shatner Star Trek/T.J. debate really says it all...
