Shelley Long, best known for her portrayal of barmaid Dianne Chambers in the sitcom Cheers is to team up with actor Martin Short, star of such films as Innerspace, in a new sitcom, it has been announced. The new sitcom is to be called "The Long and Short" and will air on NBC on Thursday nights from mid-May.
Thank God Shelley Long has been off the radar screen too long so lets hope this sitcom and her new film with Burt Raynolds puts her right back on it where she deserves to be.
